What is the fundamental purpose of the device?
The purpose of this device is to enable your TV to view channels that are not available without cable. A cable box also provides clearer picture to the channels. The cable box connects to the back of your TV with three wires, a video input and two audio inputs.


What energy transformations are seen in its operation?
Converting/De-scrambling, digital conversion. The cable box takes energy from the TV that it is sending out, and converts it through the cable box to enable you to view cable channels.


What sensors/controls are designed into the device?
There is a sensor located on the front of the device, it sense when you power on or off the cable box. The back of the box contains input and output connections. These connections are color coated.
